Handmade Corporate Christmas Gift 2020

As an annual special treat for my clients, this handcrafted luxurious packaging design was my corporate Christmas gift 2020. My aim was to create a unique design and unboxing experience in several layers with focus on different techniques and locally sourced fine material.

The design consists of two parts. The outer wrapper and the inner box. I used the same black and white cardboard throughout the design, only crafting the center box from fine book cloth for extra contrast.

The outside opens wing like, like a swing-door and closes magnetically.

The main box featuring two inside walls to hold the envelope in place. The envelope is finished with a name label, luxury ribbon and golden wax seal. Below the envelope you’ll find Tea and a tea-cake inlayed. Each inlay is individualised with the name of the client. The chosen products are an homage to my time in Britain.

Each box, envelope and inlay are finished with hot-foil embossing, made with my plotter and hand gilded brushstrokes as an homage to the creative process of every design project.

A sleek black design with gold accents, to create a theatrical atmosphere, placing the products on a stage of their own.
