Design Concept
The project is located in Baohe District, Hefei City, central Anhui Province, China. Exploring the future is the ideal pursuit of human beings and the starting point of the human soul and spirit. The project takes the “Starry Sky” and "Star Trace" as the theme, and creates a series of spatial experiences, such as "Trace Door", "Flow Light Floating Bridge" and " Shadows Light ", to open a journey of searching for the future.
Oriental Future Life Art Gallery, as the main window of the project, meets people's imagination of the future lifestyle. The designers hoped to try some bold design ideas, return to the original, look to the future, with the human heart and spirit as the starting point, show the vision of the future architecture.
Appearance
The appearance design inspiration comes from the cosmic orbits. The design started from the smooth curve formed by the trajectory of the universe as the design element. Through the abstract interpretation of the orbit, the designers used a curve structure to present the trajectory of the universe and the stars. The two wings of this architecture are of two sizes and asymmetric. Creating contrast through the differentiation brings penetration of space and shapes the whole image of the movement, bringing a strong visual impact.
Expression
The starry sky ceiling looks as if there are many stars in the universe, dotted around the orbit, enriching the space experience the visitors can get in this place. The designers used photoelectric curtain walls to create an immersive art experience space. Photoelectric curtain walls are made of transparent circuits, and the film sticks to the surface. When the circuits are not lit, the walls don’t look different from ordinary glass walls, but during the night, they are bright and dazzling.

What's more, the glass curtain walls are decorated with silver-grey metal rods, full of internal rhythms, like the stripes on the wings of a giant butterfly, echo the longitudinal branches. The design returns the inspiration got from nature originally to nature in such a new way.
