CR LAND LINYI CENTER

An urban renewal wave has come to the historical city of Linyi - we at AICO aim to create a new architectural language to fuse and create a sense of space with a distinct identity.



Along the axis stretching from the Military Science Museum to the Civic Activity Center, we created a three dimensional park which stretches across blocks. The park serves as the anchor for leisure activities and life of the complex. We drew inspiration from Linyi’s culture of kite flying - both the form and the movement in flight, and interpreted it throughout the landscape, exterior, interior and down to the way finding design. This is seen throughout the facade where a collage of diamonds is manipulated to create a uniquely memorable tapestry of movement and vitality.



The resulting complex unifies the existing urban landscape and integrates cultural spaces in the vicinity into one. This leads to a revitalization of the area and shows the bold new image of Linyi.
