Global Sunac · Jiangdrool Town

Jiangkou is located on the peninsula where Nanhe and Fuhe converge in Pengshan District, Meishan City. The two rivers play a vital role in this project,and they closely connect Chengdu with this case. The site is adjacent to the Pengzu Mountain in the east and visually connects to Pengshan City in the south, possessing the unique landscape pattern . It is imbued with a long history of culture. It is planned to be the first town of Minjiang River, which gradually became the bridgehead of Chengdu and Meishan.



As a comprehensive cultural tourism and resort project created by Global Sunac.We hope to continue to cultivate the spiritual resonance between people and the city.Therefore,before participating in landscape design, we start from studying the cultural heritage of Jiangkou in the past.The Jiangkou was once the water transport gateway for commerce and trade in the Western Sichuan Plain,here we can hear people’s shouts in the Wuyang teahouses.We can see the hundreds of boats passing the riversides and thousands of bright lights on the illuminated dock shining in the night sky. It's a place with deep cultural heritage.



In this era full of modern aesthetics, Jiangkou has a dialogue with culture through historical continuation. From prosperous streets and alleys to elegant courtyards, the designer integrates landscape and architecture, ranging from space interpretation of the site to atmosphere creation of leisure platform; Focus on the soul of the water town, restore the plant collocation in Western Sichuan, shorten the distance between people and the site; Break the large area of hard paving, restore the natural regularity and texture touch of traditional paving. Jiangkou continues the essence of classical gardens, and creates a prosperous and peaceful atmosphere by using the mirror water, wharf, bridge, street and stone road in the project, forming a noisy and beautiful Jiangkou water town with historical and cultural blending.
