ChangXin Memory Technologies, INC. (CXMT) is a leading DRAM design and manufacturing company in Hefei, which is known as capital for innovation. Ecology and healthy working environment and social space are the top demands for CXMT office, as well as the qualities that defines an EOD (Ecological Office Development). The challenge of designing the CXMT headquarter is to achieve high quality social and working spaces with green and ecological attribute that blends into different functional needs.

We take CX, the initial of ChangXin Memory Technologies, Inc., to metaphor embrace that generates the main façade of the CXMT headquarter. It creates a powerful image of the client as the leading force of the DRAM R&D in China, conveying its ambition and unlimited future in the industry.

Considering the complexity of the building functions and demands, we combined the building with the site to set multiple accesses to the conference area, fitness building and the office. We set up various façade shapes and materials to highlight the building.

The upper of the building are mainly office spaces, and the privacy of the spaces is emphasized through physical partitions. The lower are mainly conference and exhibition halls, emphasizing the openness of the space. Based on the actual needs of modern R&D office workers, we has integrated nature, leisure and sports, which are less considered in traditional office building design, into the project design. A landscaped atrium is introduced in the center of the building to increase the green coverage of the space and provide a green and open space for employees to socialize and interact while increasing the light in the office. The design of the infinity pool and rooftop runway also greatly enriches the comprehensive attributes of the project, allowing the practical functions of the office building, which have been neglected in the past, to have the possibility of landing.
