CR LAND CHONGZUO MIXC ONE

Located at the southwest border of Guangxi, Chongzuo is a historical city with natural features and humanistic charms. Its unique Huashan rock arts and well-preserved Zhuang-styled ethnic customs have become a specialty of the city. With a commercial area of about 88,000 square meters, three floors above ground and one underground, the Mixc of Chongzuo is the first one-stop shopping center built locally for consumers from Guangxi and even ASEAN area. The design aims to combine various factors including regional culture, architectural plane utilization and local construction level, etc. to create a modern commercial destination with both international vision and local culture.

Under the premise of reasonable planning and layout, the project focuses on embedding highly interactive indoor and outdoor spaces into efficient commercial circulation. The commercial interior space implements the commercial design concept of high efficiency and dynamism. Three major and minor atria are linked by a dynamic line, at the end of which a large main store is set to attract passenger volume.

With a 200-meter-long urban interface, the project adopted the regional characteristics of brocade and re-interpreted it in a modern way, creating an humanistic pictorial façade with ethnic uniqueness. The Zhuang brocade patterns are unified and standardized. Four basic unit blocks form five different textures, combined with perforated panels for quick construction, and the light transmission of the perforated panels is used to create a rich variation of building outlook at night. The low-profile dark red weathering steel plate was chosen as the building element of the special façade to express the red texture and history of Huashan rock art.
