The trendy charm of the metropolitan area emanates from the atmosphere. The delicacies of life presents itself in luxury and functionality with this urban renovation and its elaborate arrangement of color and light. This project is a two-room residential design that responds to the popular demand of a city home for a small family. Despite the limited square footage, the space offers both dynamic and static visual extensions while also providing a city lifestyle.Trendy Morandi colors are coordinated to meet the preferences of a family of three, as the palette of retro rose, dark green, and dark gray are implemented in each room. In the living room and dining room area, simple colors are used to depict a classic appearance. The white wall in the child’s room is accented with a shade of Azure blue, which creates a refreshing feeling in the space. A variety of materials are incorporated in the design, such as metals, black glass, gray mirrors, aluminum ornaments, titanium gold, stone and more, but the soft color tones maintain the naturality of Morandi. All the colors transition between the rooms in a way that fosters a comfortable balance of Morandi’s color scheme. The most prominent feature of this project has to be the details of the storage space design. For example, the beam above the foyer entrance is intentionally visible so that it can act as a visual balance to the white cabinet. Other imperceptible elements in the public domain demarcate areas in the small space. For instance, the hexagonal stones in the entrance foyer transitions into a herringbone parquet floor, while a small translucent screen with a white frame is used to connect the entrance into the public area.The trendy urban residence not only provides practicality in the design, but also considers the contextual atmosphere of the inhabitants’ experiences. The well arranged layout creates a perfect happiness that promotes comfortable and functional living.
