Fengxiang Bay No.1

Midea·Gemdale·New Peal·Fengxiang Bay No.1 Demonstration Zone is located in Foshan, a national well-known historic and cultural city. By exploring the historic and cultural essence of Foshan city and with the image of phoenix for reference, we work to reveal the its rich cultural essence and communicate the best wish for happiness and peace in modern languages.
With convenient accesses to other places, this project site is at a superior location, enjoying favorable ecological, educational, medical and commercial resources in its neighborhood. We will plan and create six spaces, i.e. the alameda, which also serves as the route to check the properties, the forest and grass space built upon the existing greenery landscape, the parking lot space, the time corridor space featuring glass-reflected light shadows, the grand entrance space, and the back court space featuring children’s activities and landscape experience.By mapping out different spaces and creating various scenes, we aim to build the property sales center into an experience space allowing visitors to see the architectural landscapes in person.
The main structure of the building is inspired by the image of phoenix that represents auspiciousness, taking feathers of phoenix as elements and forming up through transformation and re-structuring. Two facades make it look more multi-dimensional, and block intersection in the bezel also breathes new life into the building structure itself. The entrance also gets more prominent through integration with the landscapes, while the large blocks of grass used render a more transparent and clear facade. The application of materials such as metal aluminum plates, stainless corrugated plates and transparent glass blends design philosophies and elements into the building facade. The pure and modern minimalist architectural languages used to depict the poetic space fittingly echoes the features of Chancheng （alias for Foshan） as a Lingnan water town. Besides, the indoor space is adorned with calm, reserved gray color and lively orange color and uses feathers as a logo to embody the minimalist art, while expressing the love towards Lingnan culture.
