Vanke • Spring Dew Mansion Parent-child Restaurant, Langfang

For this project, the designers and the client Beijing Vanke jointly conducted an exploration on sustainability of spatial creation and nature. Based on the storyline of "The Wizard of Oz", nature, sunlight, forest, children and delicacy are introduced into the space, to create a family-restaurant center in a "magical wonderland".

By paying homage to the story of "The Wizard of Oz", the designers strung together various functional spaces, and broke the dullness and the sole marketing function of conventional sales centers. They created an intriguing spatial ambience that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the environment, and to evoke their imagination about future life. The team hoped to enhance the relationship between parents and children from the perspective of spatial aesthetics. This place is not merely a parent-child restaurant, but will bring infinite possibilities in the future with an open and nice gesture.

The designers created a "plant kingdom" with greenery. The extensive use of curved lines and plant elements not only echoes the design theme, but also increases intimacy of the space.

The designers adopted retraining expressions in the property models display area, to highlight the practical function of the model table. The windows and curved elements allow sunlight to enter the building in a curved shape. The light casts onto the light-green walls and forms dappled shadows, which accentuates the model table as a visual focal point.

While providing parent-child restaurant experience, the space is also interspersed with the brand's commercial display via artistic expressions. The designers conceived a node with a unique theme and fascinating story for each functional area, hence creating an interesting journey of exploration.
