Hilton Changsha Riverside

The hotel was designed by InterScape Interior Design and is located at the center of Hunan Financial Center in Changsha New Riverside City. The 241-meter building stands along Xiangjiang River, marking as one of the new landmarks enjoying the best waterfront view in Changsha.
In this project, the architecture complex which integrates commerce, apartment and hotel expresses InterScape’s core thinking in optimizing the front and the back areas’ crowd flow management. Bearing the overall picture of its best layout and the fluidity in mind, the designer breaks the original restrictions by restructuring the space. According to the local environment, InterScape integrates the local ancient glorious buildings with the rapid development to provide maximized space and high-quality services for the guests.
Large area of warm red brings back the historical magnificence for guests to appreciate the elegant beauty of this architecture. Inspired by the ancient glorious buildings and splendid pavilions, the lobby translates their exquisiteness and structure into geometric elements which intermingles and develops with Changsha’s modern buildings. The auspicious gable and hip roof, and Swastika pattern from Changsha ancient buildings are masterly transformed into various designs to create a poetic space.
Numerous men of letters and wise scholars have left considerable footprints in Yuelu Academy which inherited the thousand years long culture throughout the ages. The designer aims to build the guest room into a dream space where people can get illuminated by and virtually visit the ancient and modern sages. Referring to the shape and the deep meaning of the bamboo books which carries broad knowledge of Chinese ancient sages, the background together with the inked carpet present an academic ambience within the ancient-style guest room. Modern mental texture and resin materials are simplistically applied into the space, making it a tranquil zone for people to appreciate both the modern prosperity and long lasting ancient history.
