Urban Waterfront

The space is located at the bank of the Zhubei River Taiwan where facing the problem problems as discontinuous window scenery and an insufficient sense of space. GD Studio breaks the traditional impression of house design, and reconstruct the space to build a free waterfront life which embodies the essence of Chinese art.

After removing the compartment and TV wall, the depth and width achieve good extension to increase greatly landscape area, and the structure column is decorated by façade arc to build a fluent sense of space, seems as the opened landscape painting scroll of Eastern culture so that the people perceive the change in light and landscape and enjoy largest landscape view.

With the linear, material and color treatment, GD Studio takes the advantages of the large landscape to achieve the fusion of oriental symbolic symbols that establish the ideal relationship echoing between the interior and the landscape. Structure and furniture seem as a rive, the arcs seem as rolling wave, overhung screen seems as waterfall, concentric circles seems as ripples, metal building materials seems glistened like the water to jointly show the fetching night scene of the waterfront that establish the ideal relationship among space, people and water by embracing natural art in the riverbank landscape.
