Zhanjiang Nanhai School

The project is located at No.23, Haibin Avenue, Xiashan District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, formerly the Second Middle School of Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. The north side of the plot is a secondary urban road, the south side is a high-rise residential community, the Haibin Avenue on the east side is a main urban road, and the west side is a multi-storey high-density urban village. The high-rise residences on the south side block part of the school daylight. The project is a 72-class nine-year school with a total construction area of 41,351.21 square meters and a plot ratio of 0.88. The plot is inverted L-shaped, and the main entrance of the school is set in the middle section of Haibin Avenue, so that, with backing off of the military district, the front square can well accommodate the flow of people for school commuting and better serve as a city showcase, mainly responsible for picking up and dropping off people on foot. The car entrance is placed at the southernmost end of Haibin Avenue, which is directly accessible to the parking garage in the basement through a ramp, and does not cross each other with the pedestrian flow. The secondary entrance of the school is arranged in the middle section of Haishi Road, and the sunken courtyard waiting area and underground pick-up terminal are set up, mainly as pick-up and drop-off entrances for cars, which can effectively relieve the time pressure of the city road. This project is a renovation and expansion project. In order to ensure that the school is not affected during the construction period, this project shall be constructed in two phases, with the existing school building retained in the first phase and demolished in the second phase.
