Shenzhen Domestic Waste Classification Science Education Museum, located in Futian District, Shenzhen city, is a single building with one floor above ground and one floor underground, which was transformed from an abandoned building in 10 months. Here, the space connects everyone and provides more possibilities for the sustainable development of the city.
Deconstruction and reconstruction
In the main part of the building, the original building is disassembled and reconstructed, and a number of boxes are connected to form the main building.
The process of transforming some areas from outdoor to indoor space is completed. The interconnecting of boxes finally integrates the scattered debris space of the original building into a unified and integrated exhibition interior space.
As a symbol in the center of the park square, the light-emitting box building represents the fusion and collision between future innovation and quiet nature, appropriately highlighting the integration and interaction of spiritual art and natural life, giving way to people's casual discovery, curiosity and exploration.
The foreign internal circular
The most direct display of nature in front of people is heaven and earth. Heaven and earth produce all things. The circle symbolizes equality, tolerance and harmony, while the square symbolizes orderliness, tightness and distance.
The interior uses streamline and sequence to reshape the space, combining curves, rounded corners, inclination angles and other forms to create dramatic spatial changes -- creating a poetic space feeling that there is no way out at all.
