Dreamy Forest

With the use of native plant wood material, the multi-dwelling unit helps the resident relax, feeling relieved in a warm atmosphere full of details. Due to the fact that the owner has to always work under pressure and stay focused in a white and clean environment as a doctor, the designer aims at providing a comfortable space to relax completely. While medical workers are mostly working under a neat and total white environment, the design applies pastel colors as they offer a therapeutic feeling. Inspired by the image of Masson’s pine, a great use of soft yellow and ice green in the public area goes well with the native plant material. The soft yellow symbolizes a sunny and positive attitude, while the green and warm wooden colors give one a sense of walking into the dreamy forest.



The subtle Scandinavian flooring style offers a mild and tender atmosphere, improving soundproofing between floors with a high-quality fiberboard, which also offer an organic vibe. In addition, with some round corners in the public and private areas, it psychologically reduces the stress, stiffness and enhances a sense of protection and relief. No matter on the ceilings, walls, shelves, or furniture, this feature is applied everywhere in the house to echo each other.



The hallway to the rooms applied curved lines to guide the resident visually, while the use of floor-to-ceiling mirror on the other side extends the depth. At the entrance, the soft yellow stripe replaces the actual volume of a beam, providing a sense of lightness. The aesthetics of the portion is also applied here at the entrance. The symmetrical visual perception, the cabinets on the side and the flexible pegboard all epitomize the battle between practicality and beauty of portion.



In order to provide a safe and healthy living environment, the designer introduces shelves and coating with Green Building Material labels in the house.
