Client's Name

Quinta Dona Sancha

Country / Region

Portugal

Dona Sancha, an influential figure in the history of Silgueiros, established in 1186 the patronage of Santa Maria de Silgueiros together with her husband Daganel, D. Sancho I, that reigned at the time.

In return and as a gesture of gratitude, the Catholic hierarchy had granted them the privilege of deciding on the prelate or abbot of the parish, on the condition that he was of their generation or indicated by their descendants.

The range consists on three brands: Dona Sancha, Dona Sancha Vinha da Avarenta and Quinta Dona Sancha.

Each brand has a specific positioning according to the market segment for which it was created. In turn, the creative concept surrounding each of the pieces uses very specific graphic elements that make this wine a true story to tell.

The range begins with Dona Sancha wine with symbols such as the sword and roses, both with a connection to the present.

The sword symbolizes conquest, perseverance and strength while the roses are a historical connection between Dona Sancha and the rose bushes present in the vineyards as a sign of pest prevention, thus becoming a symbol of delicacy and resistance.

This design has features such as hot stamping, embossing, aluminium capsule, braille varnish and diecut.

Then we have, Dona Sancha Vinha da Avarenta inspired by the Romanesque art of the X and early XI century, extending into the early XIII century.

This label represents the foundation of the patronage and delivery of the land for cultivation.

The Romanesque church is a symbol of spirituality of the time, being linked to a religious order.

This design has features such as hot stamping, embossing, aluminium capsule, braille varnish and diecut.

Last but certainly not least is Quinta Dona Sancha. This label has a historical and illustrative concept engraving representing the land handed over in virgin form to the people.

It represents the life in the fields, nature, the Dão river, the vines and grapevines of this place.

This design has features such as hot stamping, embossing, special seal plus strap, braille varnish and a 1st edition medal.
