ELECTRA, by Boundary Layer Technologies, is a fully electric, zero emissions hydrofoil passenger ferry. Through it’s unique flying hydrofoil design, it can travel twice the speed and twice the range of any other electric ferry in existence. This greatly increases the number of routes that can be serviced, and opens the door to a green zero emissions ferry future across the world. ELECTRA features twin electric motors which propel it at a cruise speed of 40 knots, while still being incredibly quiet. Combined with a fully stabilised ride thanks to the hydrofoil system, the 150 passengers on board the vessel experience a smooth, quiet and relaxing journey.

These traits are also reflected in the final design of ELECTRA. It has a very fresh and unique side profile, which is reduced and visually refined, resulting in an original design language not seen in watercrafts before.
