Jiuhuashan Wuxi Shanse Hotel

With an oriental flavour of being 'between mountains and rivers’, the design reconstructs the oriental zen concept with contemporary elements. Designers extracted essences from ancient gardening techniques and deconstructed traditional elements to create an ideal residence at the foot of Jiuhua Mountain, where it is feasible, desirable, liveable and enjoyable. Upon entering the room, visitors will slow down their pace to appreciate the combination of pure colors and geometric forms. The interior spaces are linked by 'elegance', with simple logs and vintage finishes creating a warm space. The natural fusion of old and new instills the space with a sense of history and culture, evoking a Zen rhythm in the residents. In doing so, it creates an interaction between objects, space and visitors as well as a spatial experience of rich history and art. We hope that each visit will bring a moment of tranquility to those who have escaped from the hustle and bustle of the urban life.
