Ozabu

Kyoto is an old capital city where the classic atmosphere and style still remain, a popular tourist spot in Japan. The pub called "Ozabu" in Kyoto is where both the local and the foreign tourists can enjoy Japanese cuisine and sake.
The first thing you see in the space is numerous white square Masu sake cups which are symbols of this place. Using Masu as a design motif to create a lush and rhythmical space by putting it repeatedly. The massive design by overlaying the cups has become the unique
object that cannot be seen anywhere else, which gives a surprise and creates movements in space. Chairs have Japanese traditional cushion “Ozabu”, the origin of the pub’s name, so that you feel nostalgia and warmth like at home.
