Fusion & Rebirth

A man and a cat are going to move in the 62.8-square-meter small apartment. The design team adjust the layout to adopt open-plan and use large windows to bring in natural light so the light can freely travel through the living room and dining area and the house looks brighter. The overall space is designed based on the modern interior style using calm gray, black and white as main palette with slash-design to match to show the neat texture.

The wall in the living room was painted white as the main tone of the space and the white wall behind sofa is embellished by slash-design with black baking paint. The slash-design with neat lines make the overall atmosphere in the living room have more personal traits and make it become the main visual axis of this space. Also, the team cleverly use hidden doors as a part of TV wall to conceal the entrances to the master bedroom and to the bathroom, so it enlarges the width and size of the living room. Then, the living room looks bigger.

However, grey glass door marks the dividing line between the study and living room. The team took into account that the home is mainly for a man and a cat, so the team specially integrated the rest area for the cat and cat tree into the study.

The wall behind the bed in the master bedroom is hand-painted with mineral paint, which increases the sense of visual conflict and greatly improves the visibility of the space. In addition, the slanted-design-ceiling is decorated with warm lighting to soften the atmosphere of the space.

The design team use the straight, horizontal and slash lines to extend the visual scale and adopt black, grey and white as main color palette in the entire space to build personality for the space which also symbol collecting, containing, accumulating and a kind of record for the life and growth.
