Soaking in Daylight

Since the owner hoped the residence could emit a relaxing vibe, the designer selected wooden building materials after consideration; the material can be seen on the floor, the tables and chairs, system cabinets, doors, the television wall, and other pieces of furniture. The characteristic of wood injects a comforting and calming sense to the residence and has also created a deeper connection between the users and the house. In the end, the expansive space has given all users peace of mind, which embodies the purpose of each living environment. The designer has cleverly merged the two seemingly-conflicting elements into the residence to realize the owner’s dream of having a Japanese simplism yet modern luxurious living space. A massive amount of wooden building materials are applied in the living room, while the white-grey walls have embodied the essence of the Japanese simplism style. Meanwhile, the master bedroom is decorated with glass elements to create a sense of luxury while retaining a heart-warming feeling as any residence should be equipped with. This project is equipped with extraordinary geographical conditions, including the sufficient natural breeze and daylight that can be drawn into the residence. Unnecessary decorations were not needed to create a pure and rustic spatial feeling; instead, the sunlight itself can bring the interior brightness and vividness. Meanwhile, low-pollution building materials and coatings correspond to nation standards dedicated to environmental sustainability. The designer took advantage of the initial conditions to create a relaxing and eco-friendly living environment, further reducing energy consumption, improving sustainability, and achieving pollution-free.
