Serenity of Sunset

Design inspiration stems from daily living, while life can be changed due to an ingenious design. Ensuring the harmony of the space, the designer also embedded details to reach perfection. The space is designed to speak for the owner, representing one’s personality. The achromatic color palette and embellishment of wooden materials and colorful furniture give a mature, restrained yet warm and cozy feeling, just like the serenity of sunset.



The consistency of contemporary interior style focuses on the proportion and purity of lines in the space, working on the integration and combination of materials and details. The multilayers of design and the conciseness pay tribute to classics, creating a neat and chic aesthetic. The living space is divided based on the flow, from the outside to the inside, from the common area of kitchen and the living room to the private rooms. Use of lattice, reflective materials and lines are seen in each corner to reduce the sense of oppression, creating fluid lines and expanding the spatial perception.



Entering the space, one can see that the entrance is designed with a contrasting color combination, stone veins, floating feature of cabinets and a warm lighting. The atmosphere at the entrance is thus created elegant and mysterious, echoing with the image of the sunset. Entering the kitchen and looking back, the richness of the entrance’s palette and the brightness of the living room form two frames of different vibes. The colors in the living room are consistent, with great natural lighting invited inside. The use of wooden lattice creates a spacious and airy environment. The black recessed lines on the ceiling were embedded with lighting. Connecting to the curtain’s curve, the fluidity streams down to the floor. The kitchen, on the other hand, is applied with dark veneers and lighting straps of different length to reduce the sense of oppression. Each corner’s linear elements contribute to a neat, simple yet lively and fun environment.
