Functional aesthetics is what we set above all, and while we know a lot about aesthetics, we understand that the functional needs vary from client to client. They all have their lifestyle, preferences, likings, and homes — places that reflect the tastes and support their life dynamics. That's why Iqosa focuses on the client's personality and lifestyle when designing an interior, and this penthouse proves that.

For this three-level penthouse in Kyiv, we were asked to bring together classic design and contemporary stylistic. The clients, a married couple, wanted a unique living space that would evenly feature both styles with an accent on planning, natural materials, and original solutions. The apartment's unusual geometry influenced the arrangement of the rooms, yet we did our best to design each floor just as our clients wanted.

Modern furniture placed against walls with classical moldings, layered textures, and unusual shapes that echo the geometry of the apartment itself became our primary tools to make the function look stunning. To link the floors, we came up with two staircases of different designs that, together with mirror panels and active textures, highlighted the unique architecture of the space.
