Lima remote control was developed to control NOS set-top-boxes while properly reflect the brand values like simplicity, sophistication, and eco-friendliness. Thus, the goal was to create and supply a new generation of RCU’s that could contribute to the customer’s renewed sustainability policy while keeping the premium aesthetics that NOS’ end users expect from their devices.
Regarding its aesthetics, the prime buttons of the remote stand out through the use of glossy and premium metallic details that increase the product perceived value and improve its usability. Voice Search feature and Streaming Services shortcut buttons materialize NOS vision of an aggregator and holistic product.
Its overall size was intentionally kept compact and 100% Post-Consumer recycled ABS plastic is used in the overall casing. As a result, 44% of the device is made out of recycled content. Moreover, the devices and their batteries are wrapped in a thin paper to completely avoid any single-use plastics. All these contribute to make Lima a more sustainable approach than the average remote control.
