Le Salon Du Nil

Le Salon Du Nil is a unique property right on the Egyptian Nile-front with an unobstructed view of the island of Zamalek and its iconic Cairo Tower. With a one of-a-kind location, the Yasmina Makram team conceptualized a notable lounge that allows the owner and their guests to escape the city while being right in the heart of it.



Together, the client and the team achieved a design that ensures the property respects the country’s rich history and its natural environment. A color palette of ochre, brick and blue drawn from the vibrant royal ancient Egyptian tombs in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor was selected, giving the space the presence of heritage. The colors are complemented by the lush courtyard paralleling the outdoors's greenery, an essential element to the studio’s design philosophy. The entire selection of artworks, focused on photography and sculptures, celebrates the city of Cairo.
