Integrating nature, art and culture, traveling deep in the ocean, diving forward with whales to the future, the interior recounts stories, embodies vitality, and expresses a cultural space with aesthetics. Through creating oceanic, immersive and multilayered experiences, the design connects stories of the space through the perspective of the whales. The artistic tranquility gives one a chance to calm in the metropolitan once in a while.
Entering the space, the entrance hallway applies minimalist design philosophy. Modern style materials are used to mimic the ripples of the waves through its textures, infusing the abstract concept of water to the ambience. The agility is delineated between the tangible and the intangible. Water, light and space coexist harmoniously here, depending on each other to be completed.
Encountering the king of the deep, the whales, is never accidental. The whale installations swim freely in the architecture, as if they are surfacing to invite humans for a magical adventure of the underwater world. The translucent blue panels arranged in order to create the whale art installation above the construction model area seemingly establish an atmosphere of traveling back to the ancient seas. The fun part about this environment and the space is that it connects four different independent areas. For one to be alone, to encounter, to interact, the multi-dimensional design presents the concept of time and space through diverse sensuous experience.
The sitting area is arranged to boost interaction while the whales are swimming freely in the high-rise building. The azure colored sofa adds a finishing touch to the space. Feeling like sinking into the magical deep ocean, one senses moments of serenity in the blue. The white and blue arrays bring rhythms to the artistic atmosphere, appearing vivid yet elegant from different distances.
Metallic, marble, synthetic leathers are applied to delineate the furniture, contributing to a modern preciseness in the space. The art installations, art pieces, geometric color blocks and the whale’s streamline applied to the staircases, these all become ways of design techniques to highlight the transportation junction.
