Golden Union Park

Golden Union Park is a commercial project which conceptualizes office buildings of the future, providing a tight knit sense of community, by intermingling two key ideas of office and park into one coherent campus. With a mix of massing design and planning strategies, it results in a layout which uses the negative spaces between the blocks to create enclaved parks around the site that connects to the spine of the central green axis; and pocket green atrium spaces within the building masses to mirror the green effect that is portrayed in the landscape. Incorporating green and social elements into the buildings, the buildings blend into the central green axis landscape—creating a harmonious multi-level topography which flows throughout the site. With a variety of community features within the campus, these spaces extend into the buildings, creating a community that blends the boundaries of work and social life together, setting a new benchmark for a smart office hub. Resulting in this exciting development can help promote creativity and productivity of office users. These key features were all part of the main objectives to the client’s brief—to stimulate an innovative office experience while utilizing and integrating elements of nature into the design. These circumstances resulted to a campus of buildings each with their distinctive façade features—implementing the use of different material choices and design characteristics, introducing a new identity to each building while still recognizing their similarities. Promoting the concept of a design that grows organically and breaks out of the conventional design, becoming part of a new generation of innovative office design.
