HUASHI PARK

It is a place with a sense of power and visual tension. Hillsides, depressions, wild grass, and boulders give people a sense of openness and unboundedness.



The project is located on the south slope of Beiyuegang Avenue in Chongqing Central Park. The site with a width of about 150m has a grading rate of 18.5% and a height difference of nearly 20 meters, and a branch road with a gradient of 6.3% passes through it.



The design must first solve the problem of height difference. The height difference of about 20 meters is reduced to a three-level platform, and the sense of drop is weakened by different methods in different platforms, leaving enough gentle road sections to form a strong mountain space through layer-by-layer drops.



The design team also analyzes the opening and closing of sight lines to arouse people's curiosity and desire to explore. From the entrance guide section to the Garden of One Tree, in the clean and minimalist courtyard, an upward-growing tree breaks through the enclosed space, and people's vision is closed at this time. The tall tower standing next to the courtyard blocks the sight again. A trace of light is cut out of the wall, looking for the light, and turning from under the tall tower to the observation deck with open sight, this time the sight is open. The high wall of about 4 meters shields the sight on both sides of the art gallery. Here, people's realization is shielded again until they reach the end of the corridor and see the vineyard, and the vision is opened again. The design uses the most concise lines to cut light, shadow and nature, forming a rich landscape perspective that is narrow or wide, near or far, horizontal or vertical.



The design team takes the interaction of terrain and lines, and the integration of nature and materials as the creative principles, and forms a frame with the cleanest and most concise straight lines and blocks, presenting a public space with original strength and natural texture.
