Beijing Universal Creative Park covers an area of about 314.8 Mu including a public landscape area of about 50000㎡. The designer focuses on the activation and utilization of large industrial heritage, creates an innovative demonstration park for cultural, creative and scientific and technological enterprises through the integrated transformation and renewal of positioning, planning, architecture, landscape, interior, VI and public art.
The reconstructed and updated Universal Creative Park maximizes the preservation of large space, low-density spatial features and original industrial features, and highly integrates the remains of large industry with the innovation environment. It is currently the largest cultural and Creative Industrial Park in Beijing.
Most of the original buildings in the factory area are industrial production factories, with simple colors and distinctive structural characteristics. On the basis of maintaining the original building structure, the transformation integrates different functional positioning, upgrades the facade style and door head image of buildings on both sides of the street while adapts and adds different functional buildings, for example, the sports center is designed in combination with the original large warehouse, the commercial supporting facilities are designed in combination with containers, and the industrial museum is designed in combination with environmental protection facilities, so as to improve the overall visual environment of the park while ensure the balance of building utilization capacity in the old factory area. Based on the installation form of the original factory pipeline, a double-layer installation building and air corridor are built to improve the artistic sense and shuttle experience of the park from the spatial facade.
The quality of public landscape has become an important condition to measure the environmental competitiveness of the park. For the transformation of public landscape in the park, landscape art is created based on users' visual experience and spatial experience, combined with the original production equipment, so as to create the environmental characteristics of "Borderless Art Museum", and introduce public art full of vitality and influence into the environment through landscape, thus to create an immersive public space environmental atmosphere and bring a participatory and interactive artistic experience to the environment.
