Kriss Beauty Salon

“Grand, lavish, striking” - these are some of the reviews that we were looking for when designing this beauty salon. For some this is a modern take on interior design, while others perceive it as a flashback to when such places were prominent social venues. Each client has the opportunity to build one’s own connection to the venue and visualize a setting that is closest to heart.

The challenge was to design the most complex, functional and practical details needed in this field in a minimalistic and subtle manner without compromising on the luxuriousness.
At first glance the space welcomes you with muted colors and a mix of shiny brass and white marble evoking tranquility and as you move forward towards the heart of the salon you can sense the smooth rhythm of professionalism in every corner without feeling the usual chaos that one would expect to find in a beauty salon. The vast area that is not constricted with a plethora of tools and materials is what creates the ease of circulation and gives this place the freshness that it boasts.
We had a modern take on religious reservations that potential clients may have by designing a secluded space in the center of the salon. It has short partitions instead of walls to give the client privacy that she may require and yet still be a part of the hectic life of Kriss Beauty Salon without having to entirely isolate the client.
The elongated design pattern as well as the brightly lit area both compliment the work being done at Kriss Beauty Salon building the feeling of trust and comfort within the client.

We consider the client’s spatial experience a journey that she will enjoy.
