L'oiseau bleu

INSPIRATION:
This house is located in an old residential area of Taipei and this 10-year-old house is bought by a married couple.It is a relief for the owner to have a house with nature.The brief was simple: to design a house in a functional and comfortable style, let the green into the house.
Natural lighting is the most unique advantage of this house, therefore we take the light as the key point of the design. The owner expects to have a life closes to the nature. In order to realize this idea, we introduce natural plants into the house, choose a sandy-texture and wheat-colored marble as the container of plants, and integrate the large east-side glass windows to provide a place full of daylight. Create an ideal place for relaxation and enjoy the transparent scenery in the house.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES:
In order to create an open vision space, the main idea divided two part: First ,we switch the position of the TV Wall and sofa, secondly we replace the original guest room with a study room.When sitting on the sofa , we can have a view of the entire house even outside scenery, and talk with the family. The study room uses large sheets of glass to create transparency. The glass not only allows light to penetrate throughout the space, also create the independence and privacy for the owner.The owner want to keep the original configuration and make the space can be used in comfortable way. The house can served as a center when the friends come for the dinner and be used as a rest place after the daily work.
