1 Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your design background.
Lin is a skilled designer who seamlessly incorporates ink design and display art into his projects, ranging from graphic commercial design to three-dimensional spatial planning. She stays true to interior decoration while implementing the philosophy of "life is art", resulting in a visually stunning and refreshing spatial experience for his clients.
2 What made you become/why did you choose to become a designer/artist?
Ever since childhood, I have enjoyed painting, particularly Chinese ink paintings. It brings me joy to create something from scratch.
3 Tell us more about your business/company, job profile, and what you do.
Lin has been actively involved in the commercial space industry for over a decade since establishing her business in 1997. What sets Lin apart from others is her ability to create a unique and personalized space theme based on the owner's vision and requirements. This is achieved through thorough negotiations with each owner, followed by detailed design and planning in line with the chosen theme.
4 What does “design” mean to you?
Design is the art of enhancing the way we live - it is the art of improving our lifestyles.
5 What’s your favorite kind of design and why?
I appreciate the deep cultural heritage of China and prefer the modern minimalist Chinese style.
6 To you, what makes a “good” design?
Good design must fit the user's cultural story and usage needs.
7 Describe your design style and its main characteristics.
We can create a personalized storytelling space in various styles, including modern Chinese, Japanese, French, and European.
8 Tell us about your design process.
Adopt green building materials, combine technology and intelligence, and consider user's lifestyle, culture, shape, and color.
9 Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact on your design process?
Yes, in-depth knowledge of lifestyle and religious beliefs.

Winning awards not only brings recognition and honor to our company, but also drives continuous improvement.
11 Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2023 MUSE Design Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?
The client for this interior design project is a leading precision instrument manufacturer based in Taiwan, serving customers in advanced European and American countries.
12 What was the biggest challenge with this project?
We need to create a unique and noticeable company image, while also ensuring a quick construction process.
13 How has winning an Award developed your practice/career?
A business that has won awards and earned the trust of its customers has expanded into the high-tech precision industry chain.
14 What are your top three (3) favorite things about our industry?
1. My design was followed precisely. 2. The result exceeded expectations in terms of aesthetics. 3. The owner expressed satisfaction and admiration.
15 What makes your country specifically, unique in the design industry?
The beauty of diversity is that people, with their unique creations, can find happiness together.
16 Where do you see the evolution of design industry going over the next 5-10 years?
AI is taking over the field of graphic design, so it's crucial for artists to create distinctive work in the humanities.
17 If you were a student entering this industry or an aspiring MUSE Design Awards submitter, what advice would you give them?
Encourage them to participate in international design awards.
18 What resources would you recommend to someone who wants to improve their skills in the design industry?
Enhancement of humanities, aesthetics and arts.

I feel honored for winning this award, and this is actually my first time entering an international design award.

The beauty of nature's ecology is unparalleled, especially when the sky reveals its full magnificence.
