About The Entry

The Forbidden City is a royal palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. Its overall structure and layout originates from the structure of Heavenly Palace (the residence of the gods in Chinese mythology). The Chinese character "zi" (purple) means "ziyuan" (one of the constellations in ancient China that locates in the center of the north, referring to the imperial palace), symbolizing imperial power. The surrounding 28 constellations (star groups divided by astronomers in ancient China) represent the guardian who protects the imperial city from invasion.

Inspired by this, the design team creates this jewelry, i.e. Dream back to the Forbidden City, whose connotation echoes the idea "round sky and square earth" in ancient Chinese philosophy with the combination of square (accessories) and round (pearls).

The design team carefully polishes the peals and accessories through rigorous processes, which allows the embedded amethyst to show different colors during rotation, and endows the jewelry an excellent visual effect. Pearls represent the nobility of the imperial household and fully reflect the profound history and culture of China. The accessories, including propitious clouds (an auspicious omen in Chinese culture) and clover (representing luck and symbolizing Western Culture), transform the jewelry into a bridge between Chinese and Western cultures, reflecting the brand's commitment to spreading traditional Chinese culture to the world.
