Black hole in pupil

The profile of this work is the outline of a hemisphere, which is placed on the water surface and forms a complete circle with its reflection in the water.

At first glance, the work presents a pupil-like form. The main structure of this "pupil" is a state in which the shape similar to magnetic lines of force unfolds outward from the center, while the gap part of the structure is composed of translucent magic acrylic. Each piece of acrylic changes its angle orderly according to the extension of its shape, forming a deep color space similar to lens. In fact, you may find that the speeding cars and slow-moving pedestrians on the road in front of the work will be reflected in it while when carefully observing the mirror belt at the edge of the pupil. At this point, it is more like a black hole with great attraction, and it is also like a singularity that can enter another space.



When the sun rises from the sea in the east, the "black hole" just intersects with it and reflects, forming an alien scene. I hope this work can stimulate people's infinite imagination and desire to explore the development of Nansha New Town. In the meantime, it is still trying to raise a question for people: Just as black holes warn us human beings, will the fearless spirit of heroism become the end of our civilization?
