Timeless & Maze

A 1500square-foot experiential beauty space in Hong Kong Sha Tin.The inspiration is derived from the architectural aesthetics of the well-known Spanish building, La Muralla Roja - its romantic pink color and "maze visual effects".

The design separated as public and private spaces .The open-plan reception and waiting area allow better interaction between visitors and staff members.This area is separated from the remaining area in the centre by doors, with the intention to eliminate noise travelling from the waiting area to facial rooms. The layout designed a circular corridor. The traffic flow is incorporated around the 8 facial rooms, with such circulation, visitors are able to find the designed rooms in a second.optimises the functionality of the space, has a clean traffic flow, and allows staff members to work efficiently and also brings the maze feelings to the clients.The design will bring the beauty space to the strong experiential concept with high efficiently functional planning.

Different indoor spaces are connected to generate a sense of endlessness.The curves and round shapes along with the cherry blossom pink color not only create the illusion of space, giving visitors the feeling of being in a romantic and vibrant wonderland, but also outline the curves of females.Lobby's main background wall, ceiling, and the reception desk together present the outline of an hourglass; the ceiling is made of water ripple metal sheet, when visitors face the ceiling, they can see their faces as well as a static hourglass. These once again emphasize the sense of youth and agelessness. The circuitous corridors and arches crisscross to generate an endless path, in an attempt to create a feeling for visitors of being in a timeless and vibrant wonderland, echoing the beauty of women.
