2022 Taoyuan Comic Festival

In recent years, most of Taiwan's animation-related exhibitions are mainly aimed at the commercial exhibition and sale of foreign works. This exhibition is the first to focus on government units, presenting the diverse aspects of contemporary Taiwanese culture through original Taiwanese comics. Six comic works with completely different styles are selected based on four themes of local culture, natural environment, daily life and IP industry, in an attempt to present the exhibition content that combines Taoyuan and comics. Make good use of the small space characteristics of the old houses of military villages, and reproduce the interesting bridges and scenes in the comics in each exhibition room, so that the audience will be flipping through the pages of a comic book when visiting the exhibition room, so that each exhibition area presents different comic characteristics. but do not conflict with each other. The aisles in different exhibition sections use transparent acrylic to output effect words and the visual features of storyboards, allowing the audience to break through the comic storyboards and travel to different comic works, continuing the immersion of the exhibition.

In addition, combined with a series of lectures, workshops and shops around the park, the multi-industry aspect extended from comic creation is presented, allowing the audience to explore, find and read throughout the park just like the theme of the exhibition "Opening the Multiverse of Taiwanese Comics".
