Meet Xishang

Located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the entire project covers 970 square meters of building space and 600 square meters of garden area. The project is surrounded by mountains, dense bamboo forests and natural streams within easy reach. The owner of the B&B is an entrepreneur who, after becoming financially free, intends to rebuild his long-abandoned ancestral home. Considering that he does not have much time to live in it and is optimistic about the local tourism economy, he intends to build the house as a B&B, which will not only increase the profitability of the house later, but also serve as a place for family gatherings.

When the design began, the first thing the design team thought about was the relationship between the building and the surrounding natural environment. The project design aims to meet the demand for vacation comfort based on the desire to keep the B&B a little distance from excessive consumer decorations, and return more to the exploration of the essential relationship between architecture and environment, to establish a B&B that adapts to the surrounding environment and shows its simple and natural characteristics.
