Dali Jade in Bamboo Grove

Inspired by the image of emerging in a bamboo forest beyond the bustling city, this project was initiated under the mission of reinterpreting luxurious world-class residential building in the heart of Taichung city.
In Chinese culture, bamboo is a symbol of the well-grounded gentleman with a promising life progression, as the soul to represent the cultural depth of Taichung while define the core design principal, which is providing the setting for the experience of lush bamboo forest, to correspond to the for the project site adjacent to the treelined boulevard.
One notable point is that we divide building intense volume into less massive form. Well adopted the inspiration of the Bamboo, from its slender form and sectional nodes, to recreated using a 3:2:1 rhythm, with round corners on the facade, portraying both softness and strength. The bamboo characteristic of hollow culms with nodes counter-balanced seamlessly from combination of solid metal panels paired with transparent frameless glass balcony railings.
The Zen alike public amenity adopt the Japanese bonsai aesthetic to allow the indoor and outdoor theme to mingle from artistic sculptures, stone texture with landscaping with outdoor pool.

Located in Taichung City, the home of magnificent mountains, winding rivers, and numerous art venues, the buildings employ the image of bamboo on the facade to echo the city’s extraordinary environmental features. Two towers were built on the site with detailed structure and proportions to create a lofty appearance. The protruding structure on the roof resembles bamboo growing high into the clouds, virtually extending the buildings, and proclaiming magnificence. With a pool surrounded by greenery and a galleria, public amenity areas with harmonious indoor and outdoor boundaries are created in this luxurious residential project.
