Yuehutai Yuexiu Foshan

Located on the eastern bank of Xiaodehu Park, which is known as the “green lung” of Foshan, the project is surround by beautiful scenery and fresh air. Thanks to the particularly favourable natural conditions, and based on the design philosophy of “unbounded, carefree and exclusive”, this design aims to create a modern residential product combining the functions of vacation and private residence, truly realizing an “integrated” life “near the city but surrounded by nature”.
The design has been inspired by the concept of “log cabin in the forest” in Russia. With the existing ecological conditions of Xiaodehu Park, Foshan, no forest needs to be made here, for the project is inherently surrounded by verdant landscapes. The design advocates an integration into the nature, aims to re-position the relationship between architecture, man and nature, and simplify the language of space design. Following the philosophy of “ultimate luxury in the minimalist way”, the artistic approach linking the interior space and the nature realizes the philosophy of “a life of artistic appreciation”. And guides the value of a slow urban life in the future through “compound functions in the space”.
Located in Guangdong, China, Foshan is a city characterized by high indoor temperatures in most of the time throughout the year. In terms of the materials for the interior space, a lot of natural stones and steels are used; a small landscape area with a living green pine and natural cobblestones helps to keep the interior space refreshing and reduce the use of cooling appliances and energy. In terms of the lighting system, no main lamps are used. Instead, the lighting of the interior space is enhanced through an ingenious use of such reflective or translucent materials as tea-gray glass and polished marble. The bedrooms are with diversified materials, including leather, fabrics, woolen, and velvet, which help to create rich layers and transmit a sense of high quality.
