Fountain of Life

The Taiwan headquarters of a multinational biotech company specializing in deer placenta cells revitalization and regeneration, encompasses five floors above ground and three below, with the eight floors going up one after another rhythmically. The entire building and its interior design feature imagery of a “way,” echoing the meaning of the enterprise’s name RIWAY (Right Way), implying bringing the enterprise to the right way to success.

With the “way” as its core concept, integration of the flow into the setting becomes the crux of the layout. The stairway landing going up from the massive steps serves as a spatial transition arousing expectation. The entrance reception on 2nd floor includes the elevator hall, members’ lounge area, the counter and the product display section. It is made of quantities of off-white stone, whose natural, hard and solid image corresponds with the enterprise’s firm belief in its products. The space is filled with the number codes 3 and 9, symbolizing the close connection between the founders and the building, which is presented through stone pillars, stairs, storage cabinets, lighting fixtures, etc., making it an intriguing experience. The reception area with a tall ceiling creates an upward angle to guide the partners to pursue the power of continuous upward movement, creating a uniquely immersive experience.

The tree of life, symbolizing the origin of all things, is combined with the crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling above like a long teardrop to convey the source of life and the system of incessant growth, creating a link between the spirit of the enterprise and the space.

The design vocabulary of the total space combines western architectural culture and oriental profoundness and integrates the corporate vision, values, and the "road" of excellence for a better life into the space with a breathtaking and extraordinary momentum.
