In this AirBnb called "Waves and Light", located in I-Lan, Taiwan, we are pursuing a unique theme concept that integrates with nature and surfing activities. Through the clever use of wood and hollow structures, we strive to create an ideal resort environment that combines natural elements with an open atmosphere.

The core theme of "Waves and Light" is to make residents feel embraced by nature, as if they are in the embrace of the sun and the sea. This is not just an accommodation option, but a journey that pays homage to nature. Through wood and hollow structures, we pursue breaking the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces and introducing natural elements into every corner. The apartment seems to be integrated into the rhythm of the sun and the sea, allowing residents to immerse themselves in the melodious waves.

With a sustainable mindset, we carefully selected natural, sustainable woods to emphasize our commitment to the environment while giving the space a strong natural feel. Wooden elements are carefully used on floors, walls, ceilings and furniture, not only adding texture to the space, but also showing natural warmth everywhere. In addition, carefully selected large glass windows not only provide ample natural light, but also open up the field of vision, allowing for a panoramic view of the magnificent sea view.

In order to create a very open atmosphere, we specially incorporated the design elements of the hollow structure. These overhangs, whether they are high-hanging wooden beams or other carefully designed structural elements, play a role in enhancing the sense of space in key areas such as the living room or master bedroom. At the same time, the open-plan layout enables seamless connections between the kitchen, dining area and living room, making the space flow more natural and providing residents with an unfettered living experience.
