Landmark of Xuefeng Mountain City—Wing of snow mountain

The project draws on the thousand-year Zen culture of Snow Peak Mountain City, taking the spatial relationship of green mountains, sky, ancient temples, and roads as the scale and background and constructing a peaceful and solemn spiritual space through concise and refined formal language. The project combines the architectural form of Snow Peak Zen Temple with the topographical features of Snow Peak Mountain, integrating local culture with modern artistic techniques, connecting the past and the future, and forming an art design with excellent extension and inclusiveness. The overall shape resembles the wings of a bird flying in the mountains. Also, it resembles the handprints of the sages sitting in meditation,conveying a faraway mood of emptiness and self-containment.
The project chooses local bamboo and wood as the primary materials. The raw materials' natural texture presents the accumulation of history and climate. It achieves the harmony and unity of the building and the site environment, reflecting the ecological harmony between man and nature and traditional wisdom.
