Jinan Bianque Health Ecological Valley

The project integrates landscapes with medical care and health preservation, fully utilizing local natural and cultural resources to create garden landscapes in different spaces. It is not only a project but also a response to social needs and a practice of the mission of the times. The project integrates the ideas of harmony between nature and humanity and the balance of yin and yang. It extracts the elements of Bian Que’s important contributions to the pulse diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine and highlights medicinal plant landscapes.

The main spaces of Phase I-A of the project include the research and development center area, the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance area, and the production and logistics area. The research and development center area takes the themes of auspicious clouds and smooth flowing water to create a landscape space with distinctive features, with the themed water landscape symbolizing the meaning of nourishing all things with the landscape of medical care and health preservation. The traditional Chinese medicine inheritance area vividly displays the essence of landscape gardens and the inheritance of medical care and health culture through characteristic entrance gardens, alley spaces, and courtyard landscapes. The production and logistics area guides traffic flow through pavement changes and creates a themed island landscape combining elements of Bian Que’s pulse diagnosis.

Additionally, model themed courtyards include the Zen courtyards and the virtuous master courtyards. The Zen courtyards are based on the five elements of plants, providing a comprehensive health preservation experience. The virtuous master courtyards provide outdoor spaces for distinguished medical clients for consultations, seminars, academic exchanges and lectures.
