'Drummover' is the very first professional team of drummers formed by drummers of the 24 festive drums in Taiwan. They and the Shuili Snake Kiln It has been four years since we jointly held the "Snake Kiln Festival". The "Snake Kiln Festival" is the first cultural festival initiated by the private sector in Shuili and has now become an important local cultural celebration in Shuili.
Shuili Snake Kiln has weathered many disasters with Shuili people, such as Typhoon Tochi, the 921 Earthquake, and COVID-19. In the past, there were 8 kilns in Shuili, and other community industries were also related to pottery making. At present, only Shuili Snake Kiln is left. It carries the memories of Shuili people and is full of infinite hope. During the 921 earthquake, it only took 50 days to repair and redevelop it into a cultural park.
The rebirth after the disaster was brought to Shuili by Snake Kiln human spirit, so I hope that the "Snake Kiln Festival" can have the meaning of "starting over and never ending", so that the connection between the "Snake Kiln Festival" and local consciousness is not only reflected in the industry, but also elevated to the spiritual level. In addition to the culture of the pottery industry, the kiln The sacred festival also translates local elements and cultivates local residents. Through this opportunity, people in Shuili gather together to celebrate together.
Inherit the spirit of Nantou pottery, pass on the energy of cultural beliefs, cultivate local elders and children as performers, and use different performing art forms to completely tell the stories of water, wood and pottery in Shuili. Through the combination of performing arts and crafts, It attracts nearly 2,000 people every year to remote small villages in Taiwan that have been damaged by earthquakes, making Shuili a sanctuary for "natural healing, art and culture"
