About The Entry

BLUTOPIA stands as the world's first digital art aquarium, marking the first experiential journey of the HAPPY ZOO series.

In the wake of the pandemic, we've all experienced the confines of home-bound days. Yet, can you imagine the lifetime captivity endured by conventional aquarium and zoo inhabitants? BLUTOPIA encourages everyone to engage in an exercise of "empathy" in our daily lives.

Leveraging artistry to captivate audience and harnessing interactive technologies to engage participants, the team's initiative seeks to transcend the conventional confines of captive aquarium ecosystem. Through the below 3 fundamental essence to fuse art and technology to encourage pro-environmental behaviour: 1/ Head (science - facts and reasoning), 2/ Heart (art - emotions and attitude), and 3/ Hands (education - action and behaviour).

Diverging from most conservation exhibitions, which focus on the grim realities, our mission conveys the message of optimism, fostering a deeper understanding of animals and our planet and thus generate care and concern. Through science, entertainment, and aesthetics, the team encourages everyone to take a step closer to their ideal world in an almost utopian form.

BLUTOPIA unfolds across two distinct zones: a multimedia exhibition and an educational gallery, each offering a unique journey into the depths of our shared commitment to a harmonious coexistence with nature.

HAPPY ZOO series is inspired by the wisdom of Dr. Jane Goodall, “Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, we shall be saved.”
