About The Entry

Privacy, exclusivity and the sense of ceremony is the prerequisite of this project as it is aimed for the urban elites. The spaces are designed to enable flexibility in customization for different uses while keeping a harmony with users, nature and the city. The project brief also called for the design of a tea room, a zen garden, meeting rooms, guest rooms and a banquet hall in the clubhouse.

We introduced layering to the ceiling to create the illusion of space to counter the impact of low ceiling. The design of the space is clean, restrained and zen like, while we broke away from traditional Chinese interior materials and experimented with modern materials through innovative detailing - from folding doors with 3D printed landscape inlays, metal framed wired glass hinge doors, textured stone walls to stone floors with inlaid metal. The space is finally complimented with simple furniture which was hand-picked to not overpower the atmosphere of the clubhouse, where our reinterpretation of Oriental Zen - a symphony of innovative materials and craftsmanship comes together.

In the search for simplicity and an escape from fast-paced urban life, this project has been created as an oasis for people.
