This product is an educational toy — a tilting piggy bank, inspired by the adorable palace cats of the Forbidden City, combined with auspicious elements such as koi carp, ruyi (a traditional Chinese ornament symbolizing good fortune), and auspicious clouds. It also incorporates the design concept of the traditional Chinese toy, the Lu Ban Lock. We have innovatively simplified the traditional Lu Ban Lock to make the assembly process both simple and enjoyable. This product is not just a practical piggy bank but also a culturally rich art piece, suitable for display at home or in the office, adding a unique charm to daily life.
The palace cats are the free-living felines within the Forbidden City in Beijing, not only serving as a scenic feature but also symbolizing guardianship. Using the palace cats as a model demonstrates respect for traditional culture while also enhancing the product's appeal.
The Lu Ban Lock is a traditional Chinese puzzle toy that embodies the wisdom of ancient Chinese woodworking techniques. Integrating the Lu Ban Lock into the design adds interactivity and fun, promoting Chinese traditional culture.
The design philosophy combines these elements to preserve and promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, creating a product that has both practical value and artistic beauty. The aim is to provide users with a delightful experience and convey a positive cultural message.
