Earth・Flower of Life

In 2024, Discovery Channel celebrates its 30th anniversary in Taiwan and is expanding its commitment to Earth Day. We were invited by Discovery to create a large-scale spherical installation artwork, "Earth・Flower of Life," featuring the imagery of blooming flowers. Flowers and light are woven into the design of the Earth’s exterior, accompanied by stirring music that embodies the heartbeat of the planet, showcasing the enduring beauty of Earth. This piece seeks to raise public awareness about environmental protection, encouraging everyone to embrace the principle of “One Good Deed to Save the Earth” and cherish our only blue planet.

“Earth・Flower of Life” delves into the interdependence between humanity, the Earth, and the natural environment through dynamic light changes. The animation reflects four stages of plant growth: the opening stage "Sprout", symbolizes the Earth’s primordial chaos; "Thrive" represents Gaia’s vibrant vitality; "Wither" illustrates the environmental degradation caused by human activity; and finally "Flourish", through the blossoming of flowers, envisions a future where humanity and nature coexist harmoniously, paving the way toward sustainability.
