POLY CITY GATHER

The project is located in the historical city of Xi'an, Shanxi Province, covering an area of 4,800 square meters. It is designed to excavate the ancient capital's millennium-long cultural context to keep the city's cultural memory through the landscape approach, and to make a human residential space with temperature. The design is based on the concept of “Wonderland on the Clouds Contains Multitudes”, which creates an all-encompassing scene of the integration and symbiosis of people, the city and nature within a limited space. The design follows the beauty of the ritual order of the central axis layout of Chang'an Ancient City, creating a ceremonial homecoming experience with the three spatial sequences. Trace back to traditional Chinese patterns and cultural totems for contemporary design and innovative expression, and make a vivid, immersive landscape experience for people by stimulating multiple senses such as sight, sound, touch, taste and smell, bringing out the emotional resonance between people and the landscape environment.

The design focuses on multidisciplinary integration and collaborative research and development to maximize the value of the site space and create an ecologically sustainable landscape by constructing an ornamental rain garden with high efficiency and low maintenance.
