Dongjiang Water Education Base Exhibition Hall

The Dongjiang Water Education Base Exhibition Hall is lo-cated on the left bank of the Dongjiang River at the water in-take of the Dongjiang Water Source Project in Pengling Village, Huizhou. In its design, it practices the ecological concept that "mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, and grasslands are a community of life." The exhibition hall is arranged in both indoor and outdoor sections, creating a comprehensive ex-perience that includes a single tour route, a new exhibition hall, an educational campsite, and a water education class—referred to as the "four ones."

The indoor space showcases the construction background, ar-duous journey, and water management spirit of the Dongjiang Wa-ter Source Project, which is known as a "lifeline project." It is also equipped with an interactive multi-functional room for experimental classes. The outdoor space, designed to blend with the environment, focuses on the vital role of "water" within the community of life. It is mainly used for educational cours-es, social practice activities, and interactive experiences.

Through overall planning, creative design, and cultural em-powerment, the construction of the Dongjiang Water Education Base Exhibition Hall has helped the water intake of the Dongjiang Water Source Project become one of the first provin-cial-level water scenic areas in Guangdong Province awarded to Shenzhen. It also serves as an important stop on Shenzhen's first thematic water tourism route, the "Gratitude for Water Sources Line."
