Fucuo · Fengming Tianxi Residence in Fuzhou adopts the phoenix as its defining cultural symbol. Inspired by the legend of Dan Mountain, the design reinterprets the phoenix’s form, colors, and narrative into a luxurious spatial language. Rooted in modern Oriental aesthetics, the palette blends rich gilded gold, glazed red, and jade tones to evoke nobility and vitality. Materials such as veined glazed glass, color-shifting lighting, natural marble, and wooden grilles are meticulously crafted to emulate the layered textures and interplay of light and shadow characteristic of phoenix feathers.

The project faced the challenge of translating traditional symbolism into contemporary artistic expression while maintaining visual coherence through technical precision. The design team employed digital modeling and custom material processing to seamlessly integrate form, light, and texture. This approach not only enhances the spatial experience but also helps the client establish a distinctive brand identity and elevated venue value.

Ecologically, the design emphasizes elevated vegetation and the use of under-tree spaces to improve microclimate regulation and energy efficiency. Material and component selections prioritize sustainability and adaptability for future scenarios. The project harmonizes functionality with aesthetics while conveying—through material and technical innovation—a spirit of nobility, dynamism, and rebirth, offering users an immersive cultural experience.
